tattoos design by Roni
New work goes up here.
THE IDEA
the break becomes the most beautiful part
Roni works freehand, drawing straight onto the skin so the line follows the body and creates a unique, one of a kind design especially for you. Nothing is stencilled on flat and forced to fit. The design belongs to you, and to the way your body moves.
What is Kintsugi
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, choosing to highlight the cracks rather than hide them.
In my work, I translate this philosophy onto the body. The fractures of the ceramic become a metaphor for our own: the challenges, changes, losses, and experiences that shape us over time. Instead of seeing these marks as something to erase, I see them as part of the story that makes us who we are, a part that deserves to be celebrated and not to be ashamed of.
Through Body Flow, these “cracks” are reimagined as lines that move naturally with the body, following its curves, structure, and rhythm. The tattoo becomes a way of celebrating what we have been through, not despite the fractures, but because of them.
What is a freehand tattoo
A freehand tattoo is created directly on the body, without relying on a pre-made stencil. After an initial consultation and booking your appointment, we meet at the studio on the day of the tattoo and begin by drawing the first sketch directly onto your skin. This is usually the most time-consuming part of the process, and the one that requires the most patience.
We start with a single line and gradually build the entire composition around your body, your movement, and your personal vision. Once the initial sketch is in place, we continue refining, adjusting, and perfecting the lines until the Body Flow feels completely right for you.
Because the design is drawn directly onto your skin, every piece is completely unique. Each composition is made specifically for your individual anatomy, resulting in a one of a kind tattoo that cannot be replicated or copied onto someone else.
How it works
1. Send a message
Tell me the idea, the area of the body, roughly the size, and when you are free. A reference image helps, but it is not needed.
2. Schedule an appointment or consultation
We find a date together and I hold it for you. A consultation can be scheduled prior to your tattoo appointment.
3. The day of the tattoo
You arrive, we start drawing directly on the body, and once the design feels right, we start the fun part.
During the week before your appointment, avoid tanning and prolonged sun exposure on the area that will be tattooed.
Make sure to eat and stay well hydrated before your session. Please avoid alcohol and recreational drugs for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Do not apply numbing or pain relief creams before arriving at the studio, unless this has been discussed with me in advance.
If you have any sensitivities, medical conditions, illnesses, or take any regular medication, please let me know in advance before your tattoo appointment.
Before your appointment, please complete a short health declaration.
